Kid's Smoothie (Vlog)

Last week I made a kid smoothie. 
You will need;
3 scoops of ice cream
1/4 cup blue berry's  (optional)
4 big strawberry's  (can use frozen)
1/2 banana
1/2 cup of milk use as much as you need to make it smooth.
Blend  all ingredients until  smooth.  Put in a glass and decorate with a strawberry sliced partway through the middle and stick on the side of the glass, add a straw.  Drink and enjoy.
For a healthy option use yogurt instead of ice cream and low fat milk (I use whole fat cos I need the calories).

  2. I am SO making that for breakfast tomorrow. I have a wee baby, so don't have time to eat most mornings, but I DO have a blender! And a strawberry patch. YUM! I was a bit surprised to hear you had an American accent! I forget you have been over there so long, I expected you to sound like a Kiwi! Good to see you finally getting to enjoy the food!   4. That looks really yummy! I love strawberries too. We don't have a blender but making smoothies would be a good excuse to go out and buy one. Thanks for sharing! Great to see you on camera.

    Great to see you are drinking smoothies.
    Next time try a green smoothie. We don't eat any dairy in our family, for health issues, so milk is a no, no. Instead we use Hemp seeds for our protein and healthy fats. You could leave out the milk in your recipe, add half of a ripe avocado or use some fresh almond milk. Add some fresh kale leaves and blend it up with all of your fruit! My kids can't begin their day without their green smoothie. Once you try them you'll be hooked. The fresh greens give you so much energy.

  8. Hi Matisse,
    I enjoyed your demonstration. you have very good knife skills, you cut that fruit in even pieces. Did someone tell you to do that, or did you just instinctively know that is a goal of a good chef; to cut food in nice, same-size pieces? That way, the pieces cook, or blend evenly, and the finished plate looks better, too! I don't usually have drinks with calories ( since I don't need them), but I will try making one for my son. keep up the good work! Matisse from NJ.
