A video made for Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh (show casing Matisse cooking)

In this video I was making New Zealand mussels with vegetables and lime zest.  I used the brine from olives to flavor the dish.

  2. Matisse, I found your site this morning after reading Parade Magazine. It is very inspirational. I plan on sharing your site with my granddaughter, Sarah, who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes a year and a half ago. Sarah is a lively 12-year old who loves seafood also (a favorite of hers is sushi) and I think she would enjoy learning to cook as you do.

  3. Hope you are having fun cooking and that you are going be the best cook for your family and I bet that your parents will enjoy you cooking their meal for them and then cleaning up for you. I love how you make up all the different foods instead of just going by a list of what to do when you cook. I know that I will never be as good as you are in the cooking world and I hope you can just get out there and show everyone who has the talent to cook. Shine in the kitchen everyday while having fun!! Also I found your site after reading Parade and was so happy to hear that you are an awesome person with what you are going through and I hope your whole family is so amazed with what you can do in the kitchen. Rock on in that kitchen!!

  4. Hi Matisse, I am 12 years old and my name is Sara. I really enjoy food and Food Network too, and my mom gave me your article to read after I got home from school. I am so sorry what you had to go through, and I admire your ability to cope with your terrible disorder.
